The Story

Globally there is a huge lack of knowledge about sexual health, anatomy and reproduction. There are massive implications for health, gender relations and emotional repercussions, along with lack of understanding and respect. Our sex education systems are insufficient or non-existent, and when they do exist, they are not user-friendly, access is limited and there is often not a full picture of the complexities.

Also, globally, technology is becoming ubiquitous, cheaper and more accessible.

What is our idea?

A paradigm shift in our approach to sex education by exploring the ways in which comprehensive sex education (CSE) can be taught and explored more holistically, with a gender and rights-based approach, and by discovering the ways that technology can be utilised to the fullest in bringing this about in a way that is contextually adapted to schools for students and teachers, particularly in developing nations.

By opening the discussion about what is missing in current sex education programmes, we wish to find the best ways to move forward in coupling sex education and modern technology.

Why is it relevant?

By adopting flexible and adaptable technology to address the current issues in sex education, an approach which has not changed for generations can finally be revolutionised for a more holistic and all-around better education.
